Rare "Stealin'" The Grateful Dead's 1st Record

Rare "Stealin'" The Grateful Dead's 1st Record

An incredibly rare 45 record, representing the Grateful Dead's first commercial recording. Back in 1966, the newly dubbed "Grateful Dead" recorded their very first sessions with a tiny San Francisco label called Scorpio. Their initial recordings resulted in one single, Scorpio 201, pressed in extremely limited quantities, and entitled "Stealin'/Don't Ease Me In." The record was quickly forgotten, but the band steadily gained popularity and was soon signed to a deal with Warners. The rest as they say is history. Offered is that first record by one of the most beloved groups in music history. It is considered one of the great rarities of the psych genre, with only a handful of copies known. This particular example is in overall VG condition.
