Red Barber's Big League Baseball Game

Red Barber's Big League Baseball Game

"Red Barber's Big League Baseball Game" is a highly sought-after item among game collectors, with many collectors saying it plays more realistically than the later APBA and Strat-o-Matic games. Made in 1952, it was clearly ahead of its time in using over 2,000 records of actual games to chart probabilities when the dice were rolled. Red, green and black box has a New York flavor with b&w pictures and testimonials of Pee Wee Reese, Carl Erskine and Casey Stengel, etc. under the Old Redhead's kisser. One of the nicer examples you'll find of the game, in EX condition and complete with green grid-like board, dice, game pieces, instructions, score sheet and mailer to get more sheets. Box is remarkably intact with the slightest of damage at the corners. A copy of the game recently sold at auction for $1750. You're in the catbird seat with this one.
