Richard Nixon Single Signed Baseball From 1969 Opening Day In Washington

Historic orb was signed at opening day 1969 by then President, Richard M. Nixon. Official American League (Cronin) baseball is EX condition and signed "Richard Nixon" in 5/10 felt tip pen on a side panel. This ball originates from the Nellie Fox estate. Nellie was a coach for the Senators in 1969 and was nearby as Nixon threw out the ceremonial first pitch of the season at RFK Stadium in Washington. This event was captured by photography with Nixon throwing the pitch and team managers Ted Williams and Ralph Houk at his sides. We do know that this ball was signed by Nixon for Fox on this historic day but we do not know what the significance of the baseball itself is. Comes with an LOA from the Fox family.
