Roger Bresnahan Signed Contract
Hall of Famer Roger Bresnahan has signed this beautifully preserved contract between the New York Yankees and the Toledo Baseball Company agreeing to the sale of four players. The agreement measures approximately 8 x 9" and is dated July 22, 1919. Bresnahan was then the player/coach/owner of Toledo. Yankees owner Jacob Ruppert signed on behalf of the Bronx Bombers. Bresnahan's signature rates a "9" out of a possible 10 while Ruppert's rates an "8.5". A classic, clean 7 x 10" photo of Bresnahan wearing an early New York Giants uniform is matted next to the contract and both items are presented in a handsome black frame measuring approximately 21 1/2 x 15 1/2". A plaque measuring 4 x 2" and reading "Roger Bresnahan, Hall-of-Fame 1945" is below the contract. NRMT.
