One of the finest we have seen by the Dean of Sports Cartoonists, Willard Mullin, this is undoubtedly the finest "non-Bum" Mullin we have seen for sale as an original. Entitled "Man in the 60's" it discusses the salary issues of what to pay him in "'62" for his "61 in '61." Signed by Mullin and captioned "Some put the figure as high as $72,000.00...Be that as it may, 3 years ago in K.C. it was $18,000.00." He has just arrived for the opening of spring training in their "New Spot at Lauderdale with a happy, if somewhat over weight ROGER MARIS." Published in the World-Telegram & Sun Newspaper with Mullins' notations on verso. No creases 14.5x20", in EX+ condition.
