Roger Maris Signed 61st Homerun Card (PSA MINT 9)
This postcard commemorating Roger Maris' record-breaking 61st home run in 1961 is signed in 9/10 blue Sharpie and encapsulated by the Postal Service of America. Maris shattered Babe Ruth's 34-year-old season home run record of 60 in controversial fashion, having turned the trick while playing eight more games. For years, his accomplishment was marked by an asterisk until Major League Baseball removed it years later. Mark McGwire would surpass the mark with 70 homers in 1998.
