Roger Maris Signed Items (3)
The first is a cut signature with wire photo framed display measuring 16x25". Contains a cut blue felt tip signature from Maris (grades a "9.5" out of a possible 10), signature and inscription from Mantle & Maris’ 1961 roommate, Bob Cerv: “Bob Cerv Outfielder, Maris & Mantle roommate 1961” in blue ballpoint. Wire photo in matting above shows Maris & Cerv lighting cigars after receiving news of their newly born babies (8/28/60) with original caption below. The second is a diner menu from the 1962 7th Annual Sports Award Dinner, signed on the cover by Maris, Kuenn, Rudy Maris (Roger’s older brother), & 4 others. EX. Includes two small color photos from that event (one with Maris). The last is an 8x10” unmarked color photo, signed “Best Wishes Roger Maris”. The photo itself is of no consequence, but the smooth flowing, nearly perfect black roller ball pen signature is remarkable and grades a virtual “10”. LOA included.
