And for the best "Rock Album" the winner is....the Rolling Stones. Mick Jagger and company will no doubt be remembered as not only the longest performing band in rock and roll history . Imagine the staying power of five decades ! In 1994 the group won two prestigious Grammys. One for the "Best Music Video (short form) " and this trophy for "Best Rock Album -Voodoo Lounge." Presented to keyboardist Chuck Leavell, the award includes LOA's with full history of the piece. The modern Grammy stands 9.25" and is branded on the bottom of the ebony base with NARAS (National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences) The plaque reads that it is presented to the Rolling Stones.
