Sadaharu Oh Vintage Signed Japanese Baseball Bat (PSA)

Sadaharu Oh Vintage Signed Japanese Baseball Bat (PSA)

Sadaharu Oh, superstar hitter for Japan's Yomiuri Giants, holds the World's Record for lifetime home runs with 868. Offered is a Sadaharu Oh signed and inscribed baseball bat. Oh played his entire playing career (1959-80) with the Yomiuri Giants, as a first baseman. He was originally signed by the Giants as a pitcher. A left-handed hitter, Oh developed his very distinctive high right leg kick, called his "flamingo kick." He was a 15-time Central League home run champ, an 18-time All-Star, a 5-time league batting champ, an 11-time Japan Series Champion, and an 11-time Central League MVP. He formerly held the Japan single season home run record of 55, and he still holds the Japanese record for career OPS, at 1.079 and for RBIs, at 2,170. The bat is not a game used bat, but a vintage Isono ISN Big Slugger, with a length of 34" and a weight of 31.6 ounces. Sadaharu Oh has signed his name on the barrel in neat script with a black marker. There is a number "1" written by an unknown hand in black marker on the knob. Also in black marker, Oh has inscribed "756" above his signature. An included full PSA LOA states that there is another signature, but we believe that this is possibly another inscription added by Oh. The unused bat is in excellent condition.
