The following programs are from the premier American historical racetrack. Listed are programs ranging from the early 1930s through the 1970s. There are many rare items with famous racehorses and races. Unless noted, all are in excellent condition with no writing:1. 1930sa. 1932 (8/22) – Panetian in Burgomaster scratched due to sponge found illegally placed in nostril. Some writing.b. 1936 (7/31) Test Stakes; (8/1) Saratoga Handicap won by Discovery; (8/4); (8/5) The Wilson Stakes won by Discovery; (8/12) The Alabama; (8/13) The Sanford; (8/18) Esposa, Rosemont & Count Arthur ran.2. 1950sa. 1955 (8/16) Rare Treat won allowance; (8/20) Grand Union & Saratoga Handicap – some writing on latter.3. 1960sa. 1962 The famous Travers Stakes won by Jaipur over Ridan.b. 1967 Alabama won by Gamely. Dark Mirage also winner on the card.4. 1970sa. 1970 (8/10) Saratoga Special & (8/19) the Sanford. No writing except for the date listed on the cover for both.b. 1974 (7/29) Schuylerville – only writing is #2 in 2nd race circled; (7/30) – has writing; (7/31) has writing & small tear on cover; (8/3) The Whitney; (8/5) Saratoga Special; (8/7) Jim Dandy; (8/9) has writing; (8/12) Adirondack; (8/13) has writing; (8/14) The Sanford – date on cover; (8/15) & (8/16) have writing; (8/17) Travers; (8/19) Diana; (8/21) has writing;*Also included is the Alabama program for August 10 which was one of the days government officials accused as being fraudulent. Jockey were accused of fixing the race containing exotic betting by bribing fellow jockeys to abstain from being part of an exacta or triple wagering.5. 2006 (8/2) Saratoga program cancelled due to oppressive heat.
