Two images of Paige pitching for the Cleveland Indians taken by George Silk for publication in Life Magazine in 1948. These silver prints measure 7.24x9" and 8.25x10" and feature photographers stamps and various notations on the versos, including captions - "Leroy 'Satchelfoot' Paige - Negro relief pitcher for Cleveland Indians pitching sidearm while warming up in bullpen." The other reads "'Satchelfoot' Paige - Negro relief pitcher of Cleveland Indians. Paige on mound against Louis Brown in his first major-league appearance." The photos date from July of 1948 and were used in Life Magazine and its International edition. The photographs have minor creases and marks.
