Seabiscuit vs. War Admiral "The Match Race of the Century" Program

Seabiscuit vs. War Admiral "The Match Race of the Century" Program

It was billed as the Match Race of the Century and it didn't disappoint as the valiant Seabiscuit outdueled War Admiral on just another Tuesday afternoon in Maryland. On November 1, 1938, Seabiscuit not only conquered War Admiral but left the son of Man o’ War in the dirt and dust of Pimlico. This is a winning combination of both the official "programme" and souvenir program from that fabled race. The Autumn Meeting programme, which measures slightly less than 4" x 9", is a very nice copy with some pencil marks eliminating scratches from the field (2). The owner also kept track of his wins and losses in pencil inside the back cover, as he ended up down $4.20 after six races. The program is in EX-MT condition overall with note to the pencil marks.
