Seattle Sound Handbill Collection w/ Nirvana, Soundgarden, & Pearl Jam (26)

Seattle Sound Handbill Collection w/ Nirvana, Soundgarden, & Pearl Jam (26)

This simply amazing assemblage of brilliant full-color handbills came straight from the Seattle scene (mid '80s - early '90's). 26 altogether, each one special in its own right. Most contain multiple band names. Includes: Mother Love Bone (1) Nirvana (4), Soundgarden (8), Pearl Jam (2), Green River (4), Skin Yard (16), Malfunkshun (4), & many others. Mother Love Bone has become a legendary Seattle band and story. The heroin overdose that killed lead singer Andrew Wood came just before the release of the band's debut album. Two members of the band went on to form Pearl Jam - the rest is Rock n’ Roll history. Some of the handbills picture the bands and others have innovative artwork by local Seattle artists and friends of the bands. All except one (Pearl Jam at the Seattle Center Coliseum) are for small venues in Seattle, before the bands started playing concerts at packed stadiums throughout the country. The majority are large, fourteen of the handbills measure approximately 11x17”, the smallest being 8.5x11”.
