Second Base from Cal Ripken, Jr.’s Last Game
A true slice of baseball historicana. This is second base from the game when Cal Ripken said goodbye to the fans for the final time. Brilliantly handpainted with the logo of the event it shows Ripken waving to the fans with the heralded “1981-2001.” On the side are the Orioles logo, his number “8,” and the American flag for sliding on TV. Signed in black sharpie “Cal Ripken, Jr.” the signature is EX-MT. The bottom of the base is notated in marker by MLB, “October 6 2001 4th Inning 2nd.” Nice use and authentication hologram from Major League Baseball Authentics. Score!
