Secretariat Hair Pulled at Claiborne Farm
Lock of hair from Triple Crown winner Secretariat, pulled from the thoroughbred known as "Big Red" on November 3rd, 1988, at Claiborne Farm. After record-setting performances at each of the 1973 Kentucky Derby, Preakness, and Belmont Stakes, Secretariat was eventually retired to Claiborne, where he remained until his passing in 1989.
