Secretariat Morning Workout Saddle Cloth (Photo-Matched)

Royal blue cloth with white hand embroidery, worn by the horse widely considered as the greatest racehorse ever to plant hoof on track. It came directly from Secretariat's exercise rider Jim Gaffney, and comes with his LOA. Also, comes with the following: 1) Photo of Secretariat WEARING this saddle cloth, photo is autographed by Jim Gaffney. 2) Photo of the cloth on display at the Kentucky Horse Park Exhibit. 3) Photo of Jim Gaffney in later years holding the cloth. 4) Vintage news photo of Secretariat wearing the cloth at Garden State Stakes workout with George Davis aboard (dated 11-17-72). Authenticity is without question. The cloth was used during Secretariat's two and three-year-old seasons in 1972-73. It is even registered with the Secretariat Foundation. Has some bleach spots but is in o/w fine condition. The history of this saddle cloth is well documented. It is written about in the worldwide best seller "Secretariat - The Making of a Champion" by Bill Nack (1975) on page 75.
