Secretariat Triple Crown Program Collection - Kentucky Derby, Belmont Stakes & Preakness Stakes

Secretariat Triple Crown Program Collection - Kentucky Derby, Belmont Stakes & Preakness Stakes

Complete set of racing programs from Secretariat's historic Triple Crown run in 1973. Secretariat set track records in each of the three races, including a dominant 31-length victory in the Belmont, and is considered by many to be the greatest thoroughbred in racing history. This year marks the 50th anniversary of Secretariat's memorable achievement, making this a timely offering of the three most desirable racing programs of the modern era. 1) Kentucky Derby program (4x9"). The original owner affixed a collection of four first-day-of-issue "Horse Racing" stamps at the base of the two-page Derby field (including a "May 4 1974" Louisville, KY, postmark); otherwise EX. 2) Preakness Day program (3.75x9.5"). There are a few ink and pencil notations on some of the pages, but the Preakness page is clean and free of any markings. A single tack hole affects both covers and each page. GD-VG. 3) Belmont Stakes program (4x9"). A single tack hole affects both covers and each page; otherwise EX. Included with the programs are three vintage Secretariat commemorative postcards (not mailed; each EX).
