Set of Ten High Grade 1965 American League Team Signed Baseballs with the Nicest Known A.L. Champion Minnesota Twins (PSA/DNA 8.5)
Presented to Bill Bloedel of Brown & Bigelow, who did the famed baseball prints and was the an important Minnesota Twins PR man, these were presented at the 1965 All-Star Game in Minnesota with a letter from his daughter-in-law. All came from one baseball insider, and are on official American League baseballs. Here they are in the team's order of finish. 1) A.L. Champion Minnesota Twins. The nicest we have ever seen, a whopping 35 signatures with all the keys and more. Grades 8.5/10 by PSA/DNA. 2) Chicago White Sox, 30 signatures. 3) Baltimore Orioles, 31 signatures. 4) Detroit Tigers, 25 signatures EX-MT. 5) Cleveland Indians, 25 signatures. 6) New York Yankees,27 signatures, (Mantle secretarial). 7) California Angels, 25 signatures. 8) Washington Senators, 30 signatures. 9) Boston Red Sox, 30 signatures (no Yaz). 10) Kansas City Athletics, 27 signatures. These baseballs and signatures are all NRMT better, if not NRMT-MT unless otherwise noted. These are not your typical "clubhouse" signed baseballs but we have seen very few clubhouse signatures: From the perfect 10 Gil Hodges on the sweet spot of the Senators ball to the picture perfect Tony Conigliaro on the Sox ball. The set comes in their original dozen count display box with 9/10 in their original ball boxes. You NEVER see a set such as this. Sadly, almost all "league" sets have been broken up. Here is a chance to keep something truly great together as one astounding package.
