There was certainly no shortage of work for the local lettercarriers, as shown in this barrage of over 900 envelopes sent from presidents, athletes, historical figures, politicians, world leaders, artists, composers, musicians, actors and much more to collector Jim Schendel. A few have autographs and mementos from the original senders, included are some presidential inauguration invitations, Christmas cards, and more. It is amazing that Schendel kept the envelopes for over 60+ years, meticulously organized.
