Silver Charm Runner-Up Stephen Foster Handicap Saddle Cloth

Silver Charm Runner-Up Stephen Foster Handicap Saddle Cloth

Trained by Bob Baffert and ridden most of his career by Gary Stevens, Silver Charm is remembered most for winning the 1997 Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes and coming up just short in the Belmont Stakes to Touch Gold. Despite missing out on the elusive Triple Crown, Silver Charm would go on to win several major races, including the Goodwood Stakes, Strub Stakes and the Dubai World Cup. He was elected into the Hall of Fame in 2007 and ranked #63 in Blood Horse's listing of the top race horses of the 20th Century. This white cloth with green #1 and purple "SILVER CHARM" stitched on, was worn by the horse in his runner-up finish in the 1998 Stephen Foster Handicap.
