Sonny Boy Williamson Concert Poster Collection (16)

Sonny Boy Williamson Concert Poster Collection (16)

Sonny Boy’s legacy is still alive and kicking almost 40 years after his untimely death. He was the premier American Negro Folk-Blues performer of his time and toured with such acts as Eric Clapton and the Yardbirds! In fact, he was so omnipresent that he was slotted to play in Bob Dylan’s, “The Band” in 1966, but he died in his sleep before that could happen. Imagine what could have been. Offered are 16 concert posters (14x22”), silkscreen on cardboard, announcing “Sonny Boy Williamson” (six different colored versions). Each one bears at least one great photo of the blues recording artist (either with his harmonica or also with his guitar). Other acts listed on these posters are Shirley and Lee, Sugar & Sweet, & Guitar Chili Pot Red and his Hot Potatoes. Posters own creases through the middle, o/w EX.
