The original oil painting of this superb print is prominently displayed at the Museum of Racing in Saratoga Springs, NY. This large fourteen color lithograph is by noted Currier & Ives artist, Louis Maurer, and signed in stone in 1888. Image of 34x20.13" is contained in a beautiful frame 42x30.75". At the time, the inaugural race was the richest race in the world and won by Proctor Knott defeating Salvator. In NM condition.
