Sport Legends Signed Vintage Photographs to Cincinnati Broadcaster Dick Bray
By the time Dick Bray got into sports broadcasting, he was already well known in the Cincinnati athletics community. Born in Hyde Park, a Cincinnati suburb, in 1903, Bray was a three-sport star at Xavier University.In 1933 Dick Bray discovered a keen interest in radio and after working at WKRC for a few years, he was hired by Red Barber at WSAI/WLW in 1937.In addition to his baseball broadcasts assisting Barber, Bray originated the hosting chores of a new pregame program created by legendary syndicator Frederic Ziv called "Fans in the Stands." From Dick Bray's personal collection comes this unique grouping of signed and inscribed photographs. All personalized to Bray, these vintage photos all feature period signatures. Collection includes Kiki Cuyler 7x9", Red Grange 8x10", Pie Traynor 8x10" framed, Stanley Hack 7x9", Ethan Allen 8.5x10.5" framed, John Wooden 8.5x10.5" framed, Stan Musial 8.5x10.5" and Waite Hoyt 5x7".
