These 12 highly collectible prints comprised SI's limited edition "Living Legends" series issued in the mid-'70s. Each numbered and autographed by the legends depicted in these replica prints that were reproduced from original paintings such as Harvey Dinnerstein's famous rendering of Joe DiMaggio in full swing, Daniel Bennet Schwartz's of Eddie Aracaro in the saddle, and several close-up golf and football subjects by Bob Peak. In chronological order: Schmeling-Louis (1973, #1460/1500); Arnold Palmer ('74, 1073/1500), DiMaggio ('74, 558/1500), Johnny Unitas, ('74, 315/1500), Dempsey-Tunney ('74, 1271/1500), Arcaro ('74, 401/1500), Red Grange ('76, 413/1000), Billie Jean King ('76, 148/1000), Musial ('76, 821/1000), Jack Nicklaus ('76, 13/1000), Rod Laver ('76, 830/1000), Chamberlain-Havlicek ('76, 574/1000). Signatures in charcoal are NRMT. Prints 17 x 22", with Grange & King 20 x 25", and are mostly NRMT with Grange & King having mild damage around the edges that would be invisible with framing.
