May the Force Be with You and this "Star Wars" Grammy Award 1977 from the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences. This particular Grammy was presented to conductor John Williams and the London Symphony Orchestra for the "Best Pop Instrumental Performance" for the motion picture "Star Wars". Also included in the lot is the medallion coin .Presented those individuals who were nominated for an award each received a special commemorative bronze coin that had the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences name and their trademark Edison Victrola phonograph embossed on the front of the coin. The idea behind this coin was that whoever was nominated for a Grammy would be "considered a winner by their peers." They, in turn, could have their name inscribed on the back under the embossed heading "In Appreciation." Grammy Award: 6" tall x 4-3/4" circumference; Grammy Coin: 3" circumference. NRMT.
