Stunning 1955 Al Kaline Signed Photograph by Don Wingfield (PSA Type I)
Original photograph of Al Kaline, taken by noted photographer Don Wingfield, signed by Kaline on the front. PSA has encapsulated the photo, certifying the photo as Type I Authentic and the signature as "Authentic." Kaline has inscribed the photo "Best Wishes/Al Kaline" in vintage blue ink (grading 7/10) atop his image. Several Don Wingfield credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with the stamped copyright date of "1955." This pose of Kaline kneeling is very similar to the one that appears on his 1954 Topps rookie card, but it is clearly a different image (the 1954 Topps image was taken by William Jacobellis). The photo (8x10") displays a few light-to-moderate creases.
