<p>Presented is beautiful color photo of "The M and M Boys,' Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle. The 8x10" photo seems to have been taken in spring training. The backdrop of puffed high clouds on a sunny day showcases the two sluggers. The two players are inextricably linked to the 1961 season, when both New York Yankee outfielders were chasing Babe Ruth's single season MLB record of 60 home runs. The two men were both neck-and-neck in pursuit of the Babe, but Mantle missed games with an infection in September and Maris hit his record setting 61st blast on the last day of the season, while Mantle wound up with 54 homers. The photo shows Maris and Mantle at their best. The signatures of both Maris and Mantle are stunning, signed in large, blue SharpIe - neatly written.
