Some of the greats represented: Howie Morenz, Eddie Shore, Ivan Wilfred “Ching” Johnson (several), Aurel Joliat, Conacher, Colville, Kerr, Stewart, Apps, Thompson, Walter “Turk” Broda, George Hainsworth, Harvey “Busher” Jackson, Cook, Frank “Mr. Zero” Brimsek, “Dit” Clapper, Patrick, Schmidt, Seibert, Stewart, March and more. Highlights include: on the ice - the 1929 New York Americans and Rangers mourn the death of Garden founder Tex Rickard (awesome), 1939 Red Wings team photo with Stanley Cup, 1940 Opening Night, 1940 Red Wings fight their way to the Finals, 1936 riot at the Garden, 1931 Rangers - Detroit Falcons action (2), 1930 Rangers - Philadelphia Quakers action, Morenz stopped by the Americans and several Stanley Cup images. The San Francisco Examiner was the first paper acquired by William Randolph Hearst and itself was the subject of the film classic Citizen Kane. The majority of the photographs are fully identified, and back-stamped with dates. Included throughout this auction is a diverse mix of subjects including sports, historical, political, transportation, Hollywood, and all facets of entertainment.</p>
