Sign that hung in the corridor behind the left field grandstand at Busch Stadium directing fans to Suite 70, a section of seats and a cozy room/bar behind it that was rented out for private parties. The suite, of course, was named for Mark McGwire’s 70th home run, and Big Mac’s daunting image -- following through on the swing that launched his 70th homer -- dominates not only the Suite 70 logo but various signs and photos on the walls of the party room (all of which are being offered separately in this auction as well). “Straight Ahead” is in white block letters to the right of the Suite 70 logo, on which the “70” is in red, the McGwire image yellow and “Suite” in black in a yellow oval. Rectangular block measures 72” wide, 12.5” tall and 4.2” deep. Mounted by means of a metallic rod on the left side that is bolted to a wall. EX condition. For Cardinals fans, “Straight Ahead” can also be the team’s philosophy, one that it always seems to obey. (Estimate $300 - $500)
