Superman Autograph Display with Rare George Reeves Signature

Superman Autograph Display with Rare George Reeves Signature

Faster than a speeding bullet! More powerful than a locomotive! Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound! So began each episode of the classic 1950's television show - Superman. Presented is an attractive display piece which pays tribute to the small screen adaptation of the Man of Steel. Included is the rare signature of George Reeves, who portrayed Superman and his alter ego Clark Kent in the show. Reeves passed away in 1959 due to a gunshot wound, the circumstances of which still remain a mystery. The offered Reeves signature has been penned, "To Jerry with best wishes from your friend George Reeves" in bold blue ballpoint (10/10) on the reverse of what appears to be a section of a menu from the Broadmeer Hotel at the 1957 Colorado State Fair. There is light toning around the edges of the paper, which touch a small portion of the signature. Also included in the display is an 8x10" black and white photo signed by Jack Larson (blue Sharpie autograph rates 10/10 and reads "All Best Jack Larson"), who portrayed Jimmy Olsen in the show and an 8x10" black and white photo signed by Noel Neill (black Sharpie autograph rates 10/10 and reads "To Claude Up, Up and Away! Noel "Lois Lane" Neil") the actress who portrayed Lois Lane. The ensemble is balanced by a complete issue of TV Guide (VG-EX), featuring two images of Reeves on the cover, and is handsomely matted and framed to an overall size of 27 x 20".
