Team Signed Baseballs with 1966 Dodgers (3)
Three vintage, team-autographed baseballs comprise this lot, beginning with the 1967 World Champion St. Louis Cardinals, who defeated the Boston Red Sox in the World Series, and whose roster included Lou Brock, Steve Carlton, Dal Maxvill and Red Schoendienst. Most of the approximately 19 signatures on this official Spalding ball are faded. The Spalding 1966 National League champion Los Angeles Dodgers ball features 21 signatures and comes with a PSA/DNA LOA. Among the notable names here are Maury Wills, Don Drysdale and Don Sutton. The 1948 St. Louis Browns ball also comes with PSADNA LOA and contains 27 signatures, most notably that of Ralph "Blackie" Schwamb, who killed a Long Beach doctor to pay off a debt to a Los Angeles mobster. Schwamb only pitched that one season and his life is subject of Eric Stone's 2005 book, Wrong Side of the Wall.
