Ted Williams "1966" Hall of Fame Induction Year Signed Baseball (PSA & JSA)

Ted Williams "1966" Hall of Fame Induction Year Signed Baseball (PSA & JSA)

"The hardest thing to do in baseball is to hit a round baseball with a round bat, squarely," said the Splendid Splinter, Ted Williams, and Williams did master the difficult art of hitting - and he did it superbly. Displayed is a Ted Williams single-signed Official American League Ball (Brown), with Ted Williams' signature and the Williams' inscription "1966," the year he was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Ted played 19 Major League seasons, all with the Boston Red Sox, and he lost approximately five seasons of play because of his service in the Navy and Marine Corps in World War II and the Korean Conflict. Williams was a 2-time American League MVP, a 6-time Batting champion, a 2-time Triple Crown winner, a 19-time All-Star, and the last Major Leaguer to bat over .400, when he hit .406 in 1941. Williams later became a respected manager. Williams has signed the baseball on the sweet spot in his neat, bold script with blue ink from a ballpoint pen. Included with the signed baseball are Letters of Authenticity from JSA and PSA.
