The Carl Mays Collection (3 photos)
Three photographs of Carl Mays, the Major League pitcher best known for killing Ray Chapman with a pitch to the head. A 3.5"x5" print from 1926 has Mays looking directly into the camera. 5"x7.5" print shows Mays in 1928 throwing the ball in a Mets uniform. A 5.5"x8" print with paper caption on the back pictures Mays at the beach with his son Dilly in 1928. It is missing a small portion from the lower left corner. Overall the photos are EX.
