The Earliest Known Bruce Springsteen Signed Album - Rare Signed Promotional Copy
“Madman drummers bummers and Indians in the summer with a teenage diplomat…”, so starts this classic album by America’s working man, rock 'n' roll poet, Bruce Springsteen. Except in 1973 he was just a Jersey boy, and the E-Street Band had no name yet, and together this band created this modern day romantic manifesto, “Greetings from Asbury Park". We all bought it and loved it, but few have this version, the earliest known Bruce Springsteen signed album, a rare promotional copy presented to a New Jersey record executive back in 1973. This executive then gave it to his daughter, who saved this acquisition until now. It’s what's on the inside of the “postcard” section of the cover that really distinguishes it: all 5 signatures, all done in 1973, each written near or around their facsimile signatures include in the line-up Bruce Springsteen, Danny Federici - organ, Vincent “Loper” Lopez, Garry Tallent, and Clarence Clemens “NICK”. The signatures are in beautiful black ink, and are all in MINT condition. The sleeve is overall in excellent condition and makes an incredible display. One of the best Springsteen signed pieces extant.
