The Earliest Known Ted Williams Photograph - Ted at Age Six (1924)
Stunning studio portrait shows Ted as a youth. From the collection of The Sporting News, this photo obliviously came right from Ted or his family (who else would have had it?). Has the TSN hologram on the verso. Ted is here as a youth in a sailor suit. Quality is magnificent; it is a first generation studio portrait and 100% vintage. Heavy stock photo is mounted on cardboard for being published in The Sporting News. Photo is 5x7”. Couple of large horizontal creases but o/w EX. It is now housed in a vintage White Studio photographic portrait folder. Not original to the piece but looks marvelous. Imprinted, "White Studio 520 Fifth Avenue New York." One of the most important baseball images we have ever offered.
