The Lindbergh Baby kidnapper, Bruno Hauptmann, was executed on April 3rd, 1936 among rampant fanfare. These photos show the crowds of morbidly curious spectators waiting outside of the New Jersey State Penitentiary for Hauptmann to be executed. The collection includes three aerial photographs of the prison, a shot of the front of the building, and three shots of police controlling the crowds. Three photos measure 8.5”x6.5” and four are 8.5”x11”
