The Who Cincinnati Tragedy Unused ticket

The Who Cincinnati Tragedy Unused ticket

On December 3, 1979 in Cincinnati, a stampede for seats to a Who concert at Riverfront Coliseum resulted in 11 fans being stomped to death. This ticket, perhaps fortunately, was not used that night and a quarter-decade later is a haunting rock echo. The ticket reads "10G.A.", apparently meaning "grandstand seating", which caused fans to rush in to get the best seats. Such a scheme was subsequently banned at the Coliseum until just this year. Ticket is EX with a small rip on a fold line.
