Thomas Edison Cut Signature Gifted from His Daughter to Long-Time Collector (PSA)
Famed American inventor Thomas Edison is featured in this framed cut signature with 5x7" photo. The autograph was sent from Edison's daughter Madeleine to long-time collector Jim Schendel, who wrote to people of all fields including actors, athletes, historical icons, musicians, artists and relatives of famous figures in the 1950s, asking for autographs to add to his collection. In cases when he wrote to relatives, he would ask for a signature of the famous figure, which is how he got Edison's signature from his daughter. A beautiful signature in 9/10 black ink, it is also accompanied by a signed letter from Madeleine stating that she is sending Jim a signature of her father, Thomas Edison. In addition to his invention of the electric light bulb, the "Wizard of Menlo Park" is credited with creating the phonograph and the electric camera among his many innovations. Comes with PSA LOA.
