Tom Seaver Game Used Glove

Tom Seaver Game Used Glove

Tom Terrific was the first true star for the New York Mets and one of the finest moundsmen of his time. His stellar season of '69 brought a World Championship to New York and was a perfect close to the sixties much like the breaking up of the Beatles. This tan Spalding model “42-2033” glove was worn by Seaver possibly throughout that “Miracle” campaign of ’69 and was obtained directly from his teammate Jerry Koosman (with his letter of authenticity). The mitt’s leather displays tremendous use as indicated by its soft and supple feel yet the stampings on the palm are still bold and well-defined. Written on the thumb in blue felt tip is his number “41” and on the middle finger is his blue sharpie signature that has bled over time. The ultimate collector’s item for any fan of the Mets or “The Franchise.” From the Charlie Sheen Collection.
