TRA "Triple Crown" Medals (7)
When this extremely rare set of limited edition Triple Crown coins was made, there were only nine Triple Crown winners. Offered is a lot of (6) coins from the silver set including Whirlaway, Citation, Count Fleet, War Admiral, Gallant Fox and Secretariat along with one War Admiral coin from the 24k gold on silver set. Each silver coin was made by MACO and features .999 fine silver and weighs 1.3 ounces. Every set was engraved with a serial number on the outside of each coin, and the silver coins are from set number 117. The gold coin is .999 silver with 24kt gold overlay from set #343 weighing 1.35 ounces. The back of each coin has the stats from each Triple Crown victory as well as the year. This is a very hard item to find and there are not many in circulation.
