Turn of the Century Gone With the Wind Sports Lamp
Antique, turn of the century lamp -- originally created as an oil-burning hurricane (or Gone With the Wind) lamp but later electrified. Made in Germany and imported into the U.S. Solid copper and brass assembled with hand driven copper rivets. Porcelain-glass body decorated with unique hand painted illustrations of athletes in distinctive dress such a Cornell sculler and knicker-clad baseball players/golfers. Comes with glass top piece but no shade. NRMT and fascinating.
