In 25 career starts, Captain Steve won nearly $7 million - one of the highest totals in North American history. Always at his best in the big races, Captain Steve is best recognized as the winner of the 2001 Dubai World Cup. All told, Captain Steve won eight stakes races. This pair of shoes comes from one of those stakes, the 2000 Goodwood, and is mounted on a wood plaque with a photo of him and accompanying COA.
