This first edition copy of Bruce Chadwick's <u>When the Game was Black and White: The Illustrated History of Baseball's Negro Leagues </u> is in EX condition with the original book jacket in pristine shape. The inside of the cover is signed in blue sharpie by 4 Negro Leaguers and includes Ted Radcliffe, Josh Johnson, Col. Jimmie Crutchfield and Lester Lockett. David Craft's <u>The Negro Leagues, 40 Years of Black Professional Baseball in Words and Pictures</u> is also in EX/NRMT condition and the title page is covered with signatures from league players including Hank Aaron, Leon Day, Ray Dandridge, Buck Leonard, Buck O'Neil, Edsall Walker, Monte Irvin, Ernie Banks, and 27 fellow negro league players.<u> </u>
