Two Vintage Signed 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers Items
Brooklyn Dodgers fans will cherish these two signed team items. The first is a fantastic piece of stationery whose top half features the 1955 championship team photo. This is signed by skipper Walter Alston and slugging star Duke Snider. There are mailing folds and one crease at the top left corner. The second item is a 1956 Welcome Home Dinner program commemorating the previous year's World series champs. On one page is a team photo signed by 11 members in 8/10 blue ballpoint pen. Included are Jackie Robinson, Gil Hodges, Jim Gilliam, Sandy Koufax and Carl Furillo. The program is in VG condition with one small tear at the top. Brooklyn won its only World Series in 1955, finally defeating their tormentors from across town, the Yankees.
