Ty Cobb Check Signed by Pete Rose
When Pete Rose, broke Ty Cobb's major league record in 1985, he connected the two of them forever in the annals of baseball history. This framed display features an original Ty Cobb personal check dated July 10, 1956, and drawn on The First National Bank of Nevada. The check is made payable to "Calif. Water Services Co." and is signed by "Tyrus R. Cobb" in green fountain pen. What makes this check unusual is that it is also signed by Pete Rose, circa 1985 after he beat Ty's record, in blue Sharpie rating a 9/10. The check measures 3x8" and has normal bank cancellation holes and stamps, Ty's signature is an 8/10 overall condition VG. To complete the display is a photo of Pete beating the record in 1985, with a large, bold brilliant 10/10 autograph also in pristine blue sharpie. Comes with an LOA.
