Unbridled's Song Stallon Halter

Unbridled's Song Stallon Halter

This rare and original hand-stitched, heavy duty leather halter was worn by the famed late stallion Unbridled’s Song who was a major influence upon Thoroughbred racing and subsequently the industry’s Bluegrass breeding circles up until his death in 2013.The strapping 17-hand gray colt burst onto the racing scene in 1995 winning the Champagne Stakes and Breeders’ Cup Juvenile. As a 3-year-old in 1996, he won both the Florida Derby and Wood Memorial en route to becoming the favorite for the Kentucky Derby. However, while enduring the limitations from a cracked hoof (an ailment that plagued him throughout his racing career) he ran a troubled fifth to Grindstone in the Run for the Roses.Unbridled’s Song finished his career with earnings of $1.3 million and retired to stud at Taylor Made Farm. It was here he entrenched his name in racing history siring numerous stakes winners including Breeders' Cup champions Arrogate, Forever Unbridled, Midshipman and Liam's Map as well as multiple champion fillies such as Forever Unbridled, Unbridled Elaine and Unrivaled Belle, Will Take Charge, Eight Belles, Old Fashioned, Buddha and Songandaprayer, among others. He was posthumously the leading sire in North America of 2017.The halter emanates directly from Taylor Made Farm and was acquired in July, 2005, and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity denoting the same.
