Unique "Apollo 11" Astronauts Signed Baseball from the Yankee Batboy (LOA)
One of the rarest and most desired of all celebrity signed baseballs, this is akin to a ball signed by the Beatles and equally rare. Not only is it signed by the three astronauts to reach the moon, but each one has added "Apollo 11" below their signatures to add the icing on the cake. This Official American League (Cronin) baseball is EX-MT with only the slightest toning. Signed by Michael Collins on a side panel in 8/10 black ink, signed on another panel by Buzz Aldrin in 8/10 black ink, and finally, signed by Neil Armstrong himself on another panel in 6.5/10 blue ink. These signatures were obtained in person by Bill Hongach, former Yankee batboy and future hobbyist, in 1972. His personal letter of authenticity from 1998 accompanies the ball and states specifically it is the only known example with their flight mission "Apollo 11" under their names. Comes with second LOA from JSA. One of the most historically important signed baseballs extant. Very few exist as very few other than Hongach had the collector foresight to make this glorious connection. One ball for a boy, one giant leap for mankind.
