Urban Shocker Single Signed Baseball
It's almost impossible to find a single signed ball from this member of the 1927 Yankees powerhouse, but here it is in all its glory! Urban Shocker shockingly died the very next season of complications from pneumonia while pitching an exhibition game in Wyoming. This is a pretty impressive official American League baseball with blue and red stitches. "Urban Shocker" is signed on the sweet spot, and on the panel below, writing "Browns 1923" referring to the team with which he broke into the majors. The ball appears to be game-used and is consistently toned. A light coat of shellac has been applied over the signature, which is fountain ink and rates 6/10. We can't stress the scarcity of this baseball enough!. JSA LOA included.
