It was billed as the Match Race of the Century and it didn't disappoint as the valiant Seabiscuit outdueled War Admiral on an unforgettable Tuesday afternoon in Maryland. On November 1, 1938, Seabiscuit not only conquered War Admiral but left the son of Man o’ War in the dirt and dust of Pimlico. This deluxe souvenir program from that fabled race measures 10" x 13", is 44 pages in length and in EX condition with light creasing on the spine and corners. The cover features a bright, vivid depiction of the Pimlico Clubhouse and the two stars of the race. There are detailed write-ups on the participants, as well as articles on the Maryland Jockey Club and Pimlico.
