This iconic Andy Warhol “Campbell Soup” original acrylic and silkscreen painting features Warhol’s most well-known subject, a Campbell’s Onion Mushroom Soup box in electric green and blue. This important piece from the master of pop art was composed created in 1986, and is signed on the back of the canvas “Andy Warhol ‘86” in black ink. The painting measures 14” X 14” and is presented in an acid free frame and shadow box with a white background measuring approximately 20 1/2” X 21”. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the Martin Lawrence Gallery, dated 5/23/88, with a then market value listed as $30,000. Since then, similar paintings of this size have sold in the $60,000 - $80,000 range. Charlie Sheen actually purchased this painting from the Martin Lawrence Gallery in the 1980s, and it has been proudly hanging in his home ever since.
